We are delighted to welcome our new resident columnist Tori Vale! Tori will be 'blogging' for us on a regular basis from now on and we are truly delighted to have her as part of our team!!

Born in Dublin, Tori Vale became a P.A in London to some of the cities top-society families. From Kensington to Mayfair and everywhere in between Tori has been managing the lives of the rich and privileged since her early twenties. Whether weddings, brunches, salon appointments, first class travel, or dealing with couturiers Tori stood at the forefront with signature nerves of steel, juggling the multiple demands and complex social appointments of the super privileged.

Her ubiquitous presence at social gatherings coupled with a razor sharp eye for detail, a slavish devotion to making all things beautiful, and an originality in both her manner and dress, soon had Tori receiving invites of her own, and as her opinions became sought after she opted for advising "those in the know" on a consultative basis.

Tori moves between Dublin and London, but only at the discretion of her cat Tybalt.

Dinah's Budget Wedding

She lifted the strawberry out of her champagne glass and devoured it, looked at me through heavily mascaraed eyes, and said “Hi I’m Dinah”. “I’m Tori, love the dress”! I shouted back. We spent the next few minutes staring out onto the dance floor in that inexplicable bond of sisterhood, glad to have found each other, as we were both negotiating an evening out alone, and not having to make preliminary small talk was a welcome relief. “Hey you want to go for food?“ she piped up suddenly. “Why not“, I called out over the music.

Make Up

Sukie and I met for our usual ‘juicy’ Saturday morning at Notting Hill; it was a glorious day, a postcard perfect blue sky curved like a dome over the city. A warm breeze wafted through the musty streets, fragrant with coffee and the unmistakable smell of fresh baking, tempting the bleary eyed denizens of a city that had not quite woken up yet. I wanted buttery croissants and cinnamon rolls with a coffee for a change, but toxin obsessed Sukie won’t entertain the idea of having our ritual chat over anything but a tumbler full of a green concoction with Echinacea, but then it pays her off.

Your bouquet! Not only does it appear in photographs, but it is an integral part of your wedding ensemble, and a bad and poorly planned choice can have consequences that will last a lifetime, not only distracting from and competing with your dress, but your make up also.
Nothing is more harmonious, beautiful or elegant than an artfully constructed bouquet of fresh blooms. It will define the over all look of your wedding day. Its colours effortlessly blending in with and complimenting your surroundings.
